Manual 2.5i models will use a viscous-coupling center differential with a 50/50 front/rear variable torque split. CVT-equipped four-cylinders get a system that uses an electronically managed clutch. Those opting for the six-cylinder car will receive a different electronic system that uses a planetary differential and a hydraulic clutch. Traction and stability control, as well as anti-lock brakes, are standard across the board.

With a 25-percent-larger intercooler, output from the turbo flat-four is up slightly to 265 hp and 258 lb-ft while Subaru promises a 30-percent increase in responsiveness (i.e. less turbo lag) due to the turbo being relocated closer to the exhaust. We’re cautiously optimistic that the redesign has addressed the Legacy’s tendency towards excessive body roll. Fuel economy drops from 18 city/24 highway to an estimated 17/23.

A new 3.6R model replaces the previous 3.0R and is powered by the 256-hp, 3.6-liter flat-six from the Tribeca SUV. Aside from a horsepower boost, the 3.6R runs on regular fuel as opposed to the premium-swilling 3.0R. A five-speed automatic is the only transmission offered.

In terms of refinement, a new front cradle and repositioned engine mounts are claimed to smooth out the traditionally lumpy idle of the flat four to somewhere on par with the idle of the Toyota Camry. As before, stability control is standard across the lineup. Convenience items are up, too, including an available eight-inch navigation screen, and auxiliary and USB inputs for the stereo, while an electronic parking brake (with a hill-holder function) frees up important cupholder space in the center console.

Considering Subaru’s aggressive targeting of the U.S. market, we expect pricing to remain similar to the outgoing models. That would make the base price around $21,500, the turbo GT about $27,500, and the 3.6R around $29,500. Last year, Toyota sold 6.5 times as many Camrys as Subaru did Legacys, but Subaru has done its homework, and the new Legacy seems poised to gobble up additional market share in this key segment.

Ils ont 3 moteurs atmosphériques: un H4 de 2.5 litres et deux H6 ( 3.0 - 3.6 litres ) et un moteur turbo: un H4 de 2.5 litres ( offert en 3 versions )

L'Impreza est disponible avec 3 moteurs : 2.5 N/A et 2.5 turbo ( 2.5 turbo de 224 hp, 2.5 turbo de 265 hp et 2.5 turbo de 305 hp )
La Legacy / Outback est disponible avec 3 moteurs : 2.5 N/A, 2.5 turbo et 3.0 N/A ( + le 3.6 N/A en 2010 )
Le Forester est diponible avec 2 moteurs ( 2.5 N/A et 2.5 turbo )
Le Tribeca est disponible avec le 3.6 N/A

Ce qui manquerait ce serait un plus petit H4 mais avec l'AWD ça ne donnerait pas des performances tellement excitantes, déjà qu'avec le 2.5 :lol:

Avec le nouveau modèle je trouve la Outback plus belle que la sedan...

Rien de plus tannant, quand tu baisses les sièges pis que ça ne forme pas une plateforme égale....
