Edmund's InsideLine wrote:Rumors of the 2013 Nissan GT-Rs power output may have been slightly exaggerated. Early reports swirling around the spy photos of the 2013 GT-R pegged next year's Godzilla at 570 horsepower with additional upgrades like a carbon-fiber wing, additional cooling and perhaps new wheel sizes. 570 would represent an increase of 40 horsepower over the 2012's 530 horsepower rating.
But those were rumors, today we have confirmationions : The 2013 Nissan GT-R will make 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6. Power gains were made through improved intake efficiency and improved exhaust emissiciency.
Additionally, the suspension has been retuned (again) and a handmade carbon-fiber spoiler is fitted to Black Editions. Wheel sizes have not changed and tires are still P255/40ZRF20 front and P285/35ZRF20 out back. Tires are Dunlop Sports Max GT 600 DSST CTTs. Premium and Egoist editions will also have the option of factory-installed Nissan Carbon Ceramic brakes.
The new For Track Package is replacing the Spec V and gets new Rays wheels, sportier seats, new front splitter and upgraded suspension.
Last time we tested a GT-R it went 0-60 in 3.1 seconds and ran the quarter in 11.1 @ 124.1. And that was with only 530 horsepower.
